ILHAM @ HOME: ARTIST TAKE OVER
We are pleased to announce that artist Sharon Chin (@chincarok) will be taking over our Instagram account this Saturday and Sunday (18 and 19 April) under our ILHAM @ Home: Artist Take Over project. Every weekend, we will be inviting a Malaysian artist to use our platform to share the work they are doing during the MCO. The posts will also be featured on Facebook.

As a sneak peek of the vibe you can expect tomorrow and Sunday, here’s a word from Sharon herself about the photo posted above, taken by @zedecksiew
“Hi, this is me at home today in Port Dickson, it’s Friday 17 Apr 2020, day ?? of the RMO.
The portrait was painted by my friend Shahril Nizam in 2012. My nickname for him was ‘Snail’. Back then, he painted many people in the KL art scene. How he saw us was how he loved us – a true gift. I haven’t heard from him in many years, and I miss him so much. But I live with his gift in my house every day. No matter how I age this portrait will tell the real me until I die. The ones who love, or loved us, make us immortal. 🐌”
