Sharon Chin (b.1980, Petaling Jaya) is an artist, curator and activist living in Port Dickson, Malaysia. She has made paintings, performances, costumes, sculptures, installations and videos, and worked across a variety of fields, including fine art, criticism, illustration, film, and journalism.

Her work has been shown in museums and galleries, on sidewalks and in shopping malls; in Malaysia and around the world, at venues such as National Art Gallery of Malaysia, Chan + Hori Contemporary, Ilham Art Gallery, the Asia Pacific Triennial of Contemporary Art (2015), the Singapore Biennale (2013, 2019) and Asian Art Biennial (2024).

She illustrated Zedeck Siew’s short story collection Creatures of Near Kingdoms (2018), available now from Maple Comics.

Sharon is a recipient of the 2023/2024 Prince Claus Fund Mentorship Award for Cultural and Artistic Responses to the Environmental Crisis (CAREC). Her work is in the permanent collections of Singapore Art Museum and Queensland Art Gallery | Gallery of Modern Art (QAGOMA).
